Virginia was wrongfully convicted of the murder of her stepfather and sentenced to hang.
On the night before her execution, she was taken from the prison and made to understand that in exchange for her life, her free will would be forfeited.
She became Patricia Bachman, and was taught to defend herself, to kill with pistol, and to wear necklines just this side of indecency.
Her days were filled with classes on deportment and left handed penmanship.
Her new wardrobe was custom-made, each dress consisting of a bodice and a skirt, two pieces that appeared to be one, so that she could move with agility.???? Randolph Jamond, Viscount Howell, is the man who steals her away from the prison, and impresses upon her that she must obey him or face death by hanging as ordered.
He orders her to strip in the carriage but never looks.
She realizes that he cannot bear the stench of her prison garb.
He, along with a couple he employs, begins lessons in shooting, arm to arm combat, and, to underline total obedience to him, becoming left-handed rather than right-handed.Even in her confusion and fear, Patricia covets the touch of Rand.
She tries to reach him with a kiss.
And Rand, even in his distance, covets Patricia.
After the first kiss, he cannot stop himself from taking another and another.
LORD TRICKING had me guessing and hooked right to the finish.
Please do not deprive yourself of this original, honest, and steamy tale..
The Joke that is Golf
Okay firstly, it's not golf which vexes me, its the people behind the scenes. How they can condone women playing in a men's tournament is beyond me e.g. Michelle Wie! This is not a sexist rant, why should women be able to play in men's tournaments? If it's a men's tournament, then surely it's for men only, if women want to play with men, they should play in a mixed tournament! If women can play in men's tournaments, why can't men put on a skirt and compete in the women's tournament, its ludicrous! On the surface it appears to be sexist, sexist against men that is, as this is clearly unfair and ridiculous. It's like women competing in the men's 400m at the Olympic Games. It just isn't right, my beliefs is that in sport where men have a clear physical advantage, then they should keep the sexes in separate competitions.
To me it seems like common sense. Who knows what the R&A are thinking!.
